The route indicated in this itinerary will allow you to visit the archaeological and historical remains of Catania that survived the frequent seismic catastrophes and the eruptions of Etna. Many ancient buildings lie below the modern city level but are, in part, equally passable.

Start of the tour in Piazza Duomo. Remains of a spa called Terme Achilliane (1); entrance from the Duomo; poster inside the church.

Next path: via S. Calogero, piazza Currò. In Piazza Currò spa building known as Terme dell'Indirizzo (2); entrance Piazza Currò (or from the middle school A. Vespucci located in Via Zappalà Gemelli); billboard inside the building.

Next route: via Zappalà Gemeli, piazza Mazzini, via Vittorio Emanuele. Roman theater (3); entrance via V. Emanuele 266; poster at the entrance. Odeon romano (4); ingesso via V. Emanuele 266; poster at the entrance.
